We are actively seeking a Senior Data Tester for our client. Preference will be for candidates in either Regina or Winnipeg but remote may be considered.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Produce documentation to support testing activities
- Conduct testing to align with client test methodologies (Agile Waterfall etc)
- Use defect tracking and test case management systems to document test cases record defects and record test case execution results
- Work/communicate directly with clients and discuss prioritizing of testing activities
- Extract testing requirements from functional and business requirements
- Write test plans and test cases
- Create test status reports
What youll need
Qualifications
- Computer Science degree Engineering degree or equivalent work experience
- 7 years of experience as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst
- Strong data validation experience (excellent SQL skills) is mandatory for this position
- ETL / Data Warehouse testing experience is required for this position
- Python experience is an asset for this position
- Candidates with test automation experience may be given preference for this role
- Azure DevOps and Power BI experience are preferred
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Demonstrated experience having tested complex IT solutions
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Flexibility self-motivation and the ability to give and receive feedback at all levels
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships in a team oriented environment
