The Role
As Principal Security Advisor youll lead strategic security initiatives across Suncorps technology landscape. Youll provide expert consulting shape architectural governance and ensure alignment with business goalsall while working within a high-performing Cyber Security and Risk team.
What Youll Do
- Provide expert security consulting to technology and business teams ensuring alignment with enterprise security standards and business objectives
- Develop and maintain security domain strategies frameworks and high-level solution architectures to support the Cyber Security Program of Work
- Lead architectural governance processes ensuring adherence to security policies standards and controls across the organisation
- Collaborate with delivery managers to implement new security capabilities and drive continuous improvement across platforms
- Facilitate the adoption of innovative security technologies that enable secure business transformation
- Identify and drive enhancements to existing security platforms ensuring resilience and regulatory compliance
What Youll Bring
- Over 5 years experience in cyber security advisory architecture or threat management within large enterprises ideally financial services
- Deep expertise in frameworks such as NIST ISO27001 Mitre OWASP and Essential 8 with practical application across cloud and workplace technologies
- Proven experience in cloud security architecture across IaaS PaaS and SaaS including CNAPP CASB API protection and DLP
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements including APRA Privacy Act and PCI with experience embedding compliance into security solutions
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate complex security insights into actionable strategies
- Experience with threat intelligence incident response and technical hunting activities is highly desirable
