Assistant Controller
Location: Danbury CT
A leading global supplier in the life sciences sector is seeking an Assistant Controller to join the finance team. Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller this role supports the financial performance and operations of a specialty business units. The Assistant Controller will play a key role in managing financial reporting compliance and analysis while ensuring the accuracy of financial information and supporting strategic decision-making. This role also involves providing guidance and oversight to regional accounting teams.

Responsibilities
- Support monthly and year-end close procedures including journal entries accruals reconciliations and reporting
- Provide oversight and guidance to accounting teams across the US Ireland and UK
- Assist in directing accounting operations ensuring compliance with corporate policies procedures and internal controls
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes
- Support preparation and review of tax returns statutory filings and regulatory reporting
- Serve as a key contact for external auditors for multiple entities during interim and annual audits
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and management
- Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and support special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 8 years of progressive accounting experience in a complex environment in Manufacturing or Life Sciences
- Experience supporting or managing accounting teams in multi-entity multi-currency environments
- Strong technical background with ERP systems; knowledge of MS D365 preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Strong analytical communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
