About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital
Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full-service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne Westland Garden City Canton Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.
Scope of work
Provides Pharmaceutical Care according to professional and departmental standards and statutory requirements. Provides safe effective rational and cost-conscious pharmacotherapeutic recommendations through the departments medication management programs. The Clinical Pharmacist assists in supervising the functional activities of Pharmacy Technicians and Interns. Participates in department directed medication management activities consistent with Beaumont Health goals and objectives. The Clinical Pharmacist will demonstrate good judgment and decisiveness during daily activities maintaining a working knowledge of current pharmaceutical practice and demonstrate a personal commitment to professional growth. The Clinical Pharmacist will support management by providing oversight guidance and support for all assigned areas and will participate in the planning organization implementation and monitoring of new programs and activities.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelors Degree or Pharm.D. degree in pharmacy.
- Preferred residency training.
- 3 years of relevant experience 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist or pharmacy residency/fellowship absence of residency training candidates with demonstrated superior knowledge (board certification considerable practical clinical experience etc.) in area of focus may be considered preferred.
- Clinical Pharmacist license- State of Michigan or eligible to obtain Upon Hire required
- Pharmacist Controlled Substance license - State of Michigan or eligible to obtain Upon Hire required
