Position Summary

House Doctors of Scottsdale is seeking an Apprentice / Jr. Handyman to join our team on a flexible 1099 basis. This role is ideal for someone with 2 years of experience who can perform basic handyman tasks and is eager to learn from more experienced technicians.

As a 1099 independent contractor youll have flexibility in your schedule while gaining valuable hands-on training with the opportunity to grow into a full technician role.

Key Responsibilities

Complete basic handyman services under supervision (light carpentry drywall patching painting caulking fixture installation minor repairs).
Assist experienced handymen on larger jobs preparing work areas carrying tools clean-up and finishing touches.
Maintain a professional appearance and excellent customer service when on-site with clients.
Keep job sites and tools organized and clean.
Track your time and job details accurately.
Follow safety protocols and company quality standards.

Qualifications

2 years of handyman construction or trade experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of tools home repair methods and safe work practices.
Willingness to learn and take direction.
Must provide reliable transportation.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physical labor.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Must carry or be willing to obtain general liability insurance (1099 requirement).

Contractor Details

1099 Independent Contractor: You are responsible for your own taxes insurance and benefits.
