As a Maintenance Technician you will focus on performing repairs and overall maintenance of MedVets facilities and grounds. Work collaboratively with the Facilities Manager Operations and Real Estate team and Clinical team to provide building maintenance and project management.

The Maintenance Technician will support the following MedVet locations:

  • Dallas-primary location (will also support Grapevine Frisco and Plano locations)
  • Houston & Austin-travel to locations 3-5 days every 3 months

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains a responsive open line of communication with all levels of the organization including but not limited to handling complaints conflict resolution operational considerations such as fire and life safety system testing.
  • Ensure requestsare acknowledgedwithin 24 hours prioritized based on other requests/projects and proactively communicates status of ticket and resolution time.
  • Completes and/or delegates project tasks submitted
  • Manage assigned projects from definition to execution. Projects could vary from small retrofits remodel and/or equipment installation.
  • Accountable for completion of inspections of the interior/exterior of the building and follows up on any deficiencies noted.
  • Maintains all fire and life safety systems according to local code and in a way that always protects clients and employees.
  • Manage and oversee any equipment or asset inventory.
  • Oversee the following areas:
    • Facilities equipment maintenance
    • Facilities service providers
    • Facilities safety
    • Facilities small projects
  • Provide facilities related on-call support
  • MedVet provides all tools to complete job assignments.
Our ideal candidate has1or more years of facilities operations/maintenance addition this position requires:
  • Appropriately demonstrate acumen to support the operations and the day-to-day operation of maintenance functions.
  • Hands-on experience to perform building repair tasks and small medium and large projects with high level of quality.
  • Previous experience using power tools required.
  • Familiarity and comfort with automated building systems EMS (Energy Management Systems) and other enterprise software systems is a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs
  • Previous experience using computer management maintenance software and help desk systems a plus
  • 50% travel is required to MedVet locations in Texas ( Dallas Plano Frisco Houston Austin).
