We are seeking a Senior Sustainability Expert for Group Treasury Sustainability Management to support the development and execution of our Treasury Sustainability Mandate. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our Treasury operations support the banks broader sustainability goals comply with regulatory standards and capitalize on opportunities in sustainable finance.
The Team
Based in Amsterdam you will report directly to the Head of Sustainability Management in Group Treasury and you will be part of a small dedicated team of experts. Our team serves as an Expertise Centre on Sustainable Finance enabling functional and business lines to develop and execute sustainable products that support our net-zero strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities
As the Senior Sustainability Expert of Group Treasury Sustainability Management you:
- Serve as a strategic partner for the GT Sustainability Management Department
- Facilitate structured dialogue and knowledge exchange within Treasury
- Monitor regulatory and market developments in Sustainable Finance proactively using the knowledge to enhance our sustainability frameworks and policies
- Initiate and or support new sustainable funding initiatives
- Support the development of sustainability standards and policies across ING and the different functional lines within GT
- Develop and refine data exchange processes for the Sustainable Funding Allocation and Impact Reports ensuring compliance with ING policies regulatory disclosure requirements and laws
- Provide best practice guidance on project management processes and deliver scenario analyses impact analyses and roadmaps that drive the GT Sustainability change agenda
- You foster collaboration across functions to drive Sustainability initiatives ensuring a unified and strategic approach to sustainability.

Education: Masters degree in Finance Economics Sustainability or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in INGs Business Units Sustainability or Communications roles.
Skills:
- Strong passion for and knowledge of Sustainability.
- Strong understanding of Sustainability principles regulations and sustainable finance.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability and track record of fast learning
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking.
Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Case study: A case study may be part of the process.
