The Receptionist & Sales Assistant facilitates the efficient and accurate execution of administrative clerical and marketing support duties for the Sales and Administration teams and Board of Directors including serving as the MCDC receptionist. The Receptionist & Sales Assistant utilizes their communication technology and organizational skills to play a vital role in supporting day-to-day operations team coordination communication and service to internal and external customers.
Qualifications - The ideal candidate for this position should have:
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate degree or higher in business or related field of study preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record. Notary Public (or ability to obtain Notary Public within 30 days from hire).
Required Knowledge Skills Abilities Training and Experience: Previous experience in SBA lending environment preferred. Minimum of 2 years of prior administrative and marketing support related work experience required. Extraordinary attention to detail organization communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and autonomously with little guidance. Displays the confidence and competence to gain/maintain MCDCs credibility. Takes initiative to learn develop oneself and see things through from start to finish. Proven interpersonal communication and computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers copiers etc. Comply with all requirements policies and procedures.
Attributes:
- Knowledge of secretarial/clerical and customer service related to position responsibilities.
- Sufficient knowledge of general business mathematics.
- Proficient in operating a standard desktop and Windows-based computer system including but not limited to: Microsoft Word Outlook PowerPoint and Excel Email Internet and basic computer navigation. Ability to use other software as required while performing the essential functions of the job.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms including proper phone etiquette.
- Proficient at prioritizing and able to handle a variety of responsibilities simultaneously with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Friendly and customer service focused.
- Creative organized and results driven.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under stress and deadlines.
- Demonstrates professional business practices and ethics including the ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion.
- Demonstrates knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions required in the line of work.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are generally flexible averaging 32 hours/week Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM with occasional additional time (evenings and weekends) as necessary.
