Essential Job Functions
- Assists with functions relative to various systems for extracting records for auditing purposes.
- Archiving records for company and government review.
- prepare reports for internal and government review.
- Conduct research and analyze specific to 19 CFR Customs Regulations
- Conduct documentation audits for each process and program to ensure compliance with company policy customs regulations laws and requirements of the United States
- Foreign Trade Zone
- Container Freight Station
- Bonded Warehouse
- Perform audits under the guidance of the Sr. Customs Compliance manager on Zone admissions withdrawals audit customs scheduling and related activities.
- Document all compliance risk associated with all three processes.
- Facilitate weekly monthly and quarterly discussions as guided by management in relationship to the programs.
- Assist in maintaining the SharePoint site.
- Support the Global Trade Compliance team on various auditing protocols.
- Work cooperatively with the Global Trade Compliance (GTC) team on representation and certification documents related to all processes related to the FTZ CFS and Bonded Warehouses.
- US Import customs entries/post entry summary audit.
- Conduct Corporate GTC Internal Export audits on the files for accuracy and compliance with all associated Crane policies and publish the results of audit to the GTC Export Audit Log.
- Communicate government agencies information internally.
- Attend government workshops meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Other Skills & Abilities
- Organizational planning and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Familiar with the various fleet classes of vessels and local port infrastructure.
Physical Requirements
- Job requires the ability to use vision adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen.
- Job may require extended sitting or standing use of standard office equipment.
- Job will require presence on-site at the assigned work location.
Education & Experience
- Experienced in trade compliance with logistic knowledge of port and terminal procedures and regulations preferred.
- High School graduate with 1 year experience in logistics.
Certifications & Licenses
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
