GIS Student Assistant

• Create update and maintain GIS database utilizing Trimble GPS equipment and software to locate campus information.
• Some projects will require importing CAD data from existing campus files.
• Collect information by field survey to update campus maps such as utilities trees floor plans and other campus features.
• Maintain and update the campus space allocation drawings.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

• Current CSUS student (must be at Junior level or higher).
• Geography Major or MSIS Geospatial Analysis preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of GIS GPS and Remote Sensing and experience using ArcGIS.
• Familiarity of other campus mapping projects preferred.
• Possess excellent customer service skills motivation dependability punctuality and a positive attitude; ability to work on projects with minimal supervision and/or with a team.

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
