DAY PORTER JANITOR - TEMPORARY
As a Day Porter Janitor at SpaceX you will be interacting with our guests (employees) and management staff in our office warehouse and production spaces in a polite manner. You will be responsible for general cleaning cleaning equipment operation and conducting daily inspections ensuring cleanliness daily reporting and other duties assigned by facilities management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- General cleaning including sweeping mopping dusting vacuuming and trash removal.
- Restroom cleaning and sanitization including maintaining cleanliness replenishing supplies and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- High-touch area sanitization focused on areas like doorknobs light switches and other surfaces frequently touched by multiple people.
- Specialized cleaning which may include carpet cleaning floor care (stripping waxing polishing) window washing or cleaning other surfaces like walls and ceilings.
- Equipment operation using equipment like floor buffers vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners.
- Waste managementremoving trash and recycling from designated areas.
POSITION DETAILS:
This is atemporaryposition with SpaceX for the length of time as stated and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.
- LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion dependant on performance and business need)
- LOCATION: Hawthorne CA
- SHIFT: 1st shift - Mon-Fri 9:00am - 6:30pm
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 1 year of office or industrial space cleaning experience warehouse experience and/or customer service experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Janitorial experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to work well with others and be self-driven.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires being onsite fully in Hawthorne CA - remote work not considered.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted (up to 30 lbs.).
- Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 8-10 hours a day.
- Willingness to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed.
- Frequent bending stooping and lifting of objects.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Day Porter: $22.00 - $24.50/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for potential discretionary bonuses.
