Role: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Addison TX

This is an onsite position supporting our Engineering team and will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of prototype and production units covering an entire cycle from concept/detailed design to manufacturing products and systems.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the mechanical design & development of aerospace prototypes and production units.

Maintain and support existing product designs and address changes due to end of life components material obsolescence and product change requests.

Able to review engineering models and drawings and make modifications to existing products.

Detailed mechanical design work including 3D modeling documentation HALT testing support tooling/ fixtures.

Responsible for creating 2D drawings for all associated components assemblies etc.

Follow department processes and standards and ensure the design functionally meets customer requirements.

Hands on testing of products and design validation documentation.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

Zero (0) - three (3) years of mechanical design experience utilizing sheet metal machined part injection molded plastics metal extrusions & die casting in an aerospace or military environment.

3D CAD: candidate must be familiar with 3D modeling software.

Ability to understand/produce technical drawings and documents for internal and customer use.

Ability to coordinate with the other discipline Engineers (EE & SE) within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions.

Able to report mechanical design status on the assigned tasks whenever asked.

Solid communication skills in dealing with other engineers suppliers etc.

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with FAA/ Aerospace design requirements is a plus.

Compensation: $90000.00 - $95000.00 per year
