What youll do at Elekta

As our Global Trade Compliance Officer you will play a vital role in leading the implementation management and monitoring of an effective global Trade Compliance Program. Reporting to the Head of Compliance you will guide Elektas business leaders and senior management on all trade compliance export control and sanctions-related matters. You will lead a global function including one Trade Compliance Specialist to ensure Elektas operations adhere to regulatory requirements worldwide.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on role requiring strong collaboration with departments such as sales logistics and order fulfilment. Youll engage with relevant authorities and ensure that Elektas operations people and products meet international compliance standards. Your work will help protect the integrity of Elektas mission and support access to cancer care around the world.

In this role you will have ownership and authority over the Trade Compliance Program globally within Elekta.

  • Independent and self-driven able to handle both strategic and operational challenges

  • High attention to detail and capable of managing complex regulatory frameworks

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced global organization

What you bring

  • University degree preferably in finance or legal

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Export Controls and Sanctions ideally within the healthcare industry

  • Certified Export Control Manager certification (preferred)

  • Deep understanding of dual-use items and international trade regulations

  • Experience in developing implementing and executing global trade compliance programs

  • Track record of supporting senior management and integrating compliance with business operations

  • Fluent in Swedish with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities include

  • Leading the Trade Compliance Program including license applications and screening tools

  • Collaborating with sales logistics and order fulfilment to ensure operational compliance

  • Conducting risk analyses and implementing mitigation and corrective actions

  • Maintaining communications and training to drive organizational awareness of compliance requirements

  • Liaising with authorities and external stakeholders to ensure up-to-date practices

  • Developing training for new and existing employees across the organization
