Position Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory Technician who will report to the Laboratory Supervisor isresponsible for assisting in the laboratory examinations and testing of waived andmoderate complexity as defined under the scope of practice by the State of California
Department of Public Health Laboratory Field Services.
Duties include: receiving andprocessing blood samples; centrifugation and loading barcoded specimens ontoautomated analyzers that are interfaced to the LIS; aliquoting and handling ofreference lab specimens; assisting in performing waived and moderate complexitytesting. Additional duties include clerical and telephone communication in support ofthe Laboratories functions. When licensed to do so may also perform the duties of aClinical Laboratory Assistant and other duties as directed by the Clinical LaboratoryScientist.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
