About the Position:
First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their Finance/Accounting/Business related degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank internship program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and present interns with real-world insight into the financial industry. This internship is a paid opportunity.
What You Will Do:
- Assist with month-end financial reports
- Prepare journal entries
- Prepare cash and general ledger reconciliations on a daily basis
- Assist with accounts payable review
- Security documentation and diligence
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Reconcile the balance sheet
- Work with finance team on yearly forecasting effort
- Roll forward analysis of balance sheet accounts
- Review and analysis of monthly financial statements
- Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
- Assist with SEC and Regulatory reporting
- Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance testing
- Perform other duties as assigned
What Were Looking For:
- Current Sophomore or Junior with demonstrated interest in Accounting and/or Finance
- Excellent organization and data management
- Great attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience using Microsoft Excel
- Superb communication skills
- Desire to work in the Accounting or Finance field
- Able to commit 40 hours a week during the summer internship period
Working Conditions/Demands:
- Professional office setting.
- Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
- Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
