Job Summary
Description
As a nurse at ChildServe you will join a team of caring professionals with a mission of providing needed services to children and young adults age birth to 30. This position will support our rehab and complex medical units.
When Youll Work
- 6pm-6am
- Four-week scheduling rotation every 4th weekend 2 holidays per year
Unit location will be determined based on need.

What Youll Do
- Within the nursing scope of practice physicians orders and the care plan make decisions and deliver a full range of nursing care based on the fundamentals of the nursing process.
- Maintain accurate completed and timely records as defined by nursing standards of practice and ChildServepolicies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively respectfully and professionally with residents physicians families school personnel ChildServestaff and others to assure assigned childs care needs are assessed communicated and met.
- Provide oversight of the care delivered by Licensed Practical Nurses and paraprofessionals.
- Provide training to patients families and staff as needed to help advance the skills and knowledge of all people associated with a childs care delivery.
- Demonstrate good stewardship of ChildServeequipment supplies and environment.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What Youll Need
- Current valid license as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
- 1 year of nursing or 1 year of ChildServe experience required
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs be mobile within the clinic areas and frequently bend lift reach and stand.
- Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading writing and speaking the English language
