About The Opportunity

In your role as a Second-Year Apprentice Electricianyou will focus on learning and developing electrical trade skills in order to use those skills to provide quality support to Bundaberg Regional Council. You will assist in the provision of electrical maintenance for Council buildings properties Water and Wastewater facilities and associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner while completing the requirements of a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.

This fixed term apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with theoretical learning through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) - setting you up for a successful career in the electrical trade.

About You

  • Keen and enthusiastic learner with a genuine interest in becoming an Electrician
  • Currently undertaking a 4 year apprenticeship to complete a Certificate III in Electrotechnology & successful completion of the 1st year of Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • Good numeracy written and verbal communication skills along with Sound computer literacy (e.g. utilising Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Physical capability to frequently perform manual labouring tasks that may involve strenuous activity repetitive actions and work
  • Hold a current C class drivers licence (or have in progress)
  • Hold a General Construction Industry White Card (or willing to obtain)
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification and/or Current Low Voltage Rescue Certification will be highly regarded
