Summary:
This position is responsible for administration and direct application of Speech-Language pathology treatment as referred by a physician to restore function and prevent disability following disease of injury. Evaluate plan direct and treat all patients.
Requirements:
Level I (including per diem): The incumbent in this position is required to have successfully graduated from an approved program satisfying the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associations academic practicum requirements for the Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) with a Bachelors or Masters degree. Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and Certificate of Clinical Competence OR intention to complete application for the Clinical Fellowship Year in compliance with ASHA standards. Hold or be eligible for current California Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure and current Basic Life Support card are also required.
Level II: Above requirements. Current California Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure and current Basic Life Support card are also required. The incumbent must also have greater than one-year experience at SAMC or equivalent and completion of 100 hours of continuing education in alignment with services and programs at SAMC.
Level III: Five years of experience required with a minimum of two years of progressive responsibilities (e.g. supervision of Speech Therapy Interns Program development and Policy/Procedure development) with certification in an area of specialty from a nationally recognized continuing education organization indicative of advance clinical expertise.
Pay Range: $446.73-$65.41
