The opportunity

As a member of the ZEROe project you will join a team of highly motivated and passionate people who are involved in aircraft concept exploration technology development next generation industrial system and future hydrogen ecosystem preparation that will shape the future aviation industry.

We are looking for a talented candidate who can reinforce our project team by bringing your proven experience in the field of liquid hydrogen systems and its respective components as well as making the Kdifference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Your accountabilities

As part of Airbus and the ZEROe team you will drive the development of the liquid hydrogen system architectures on all levels. This ranges from defining the necessary research towards architectural studies and component selection and their design. Within this role you will work in a multi functional team working with relevant competencies around engineering procurement chief engineering quality safety human resources and others.

Your main responsibilities

As such:

  • You will design the hydrogen systems and its related cryogenic and non-cryogenic components

  • You will identify component requirements and core parameters based on the system architecture

  • You will drive the system level integration while ensuring safety when using at possible states

  • You will contribute to the validation and verification strategies enabling a certifiable system

  • You will lead activities with internal and external partners including suppliers and academia

Who we are looking for

Because ZEROe is preparing the future of aviation we look for a highly skilled and passionate colleague able to bring his/her energy and expertise into the Airbus engineering universe.

As such:

  • You are an excellent communicator willing to use your curiosity as well as humility preparing an industry transformation

  • You have a degree in engineering science or equivalent combined with several years of professional experience in liquid hydrogen systems and/or related components in the industrial space automotive sector or other domains

  • You bring advanced cryogenic skills and knowledge specifically with hydrogen

  • You show strong competencies in thermo-dynamics and fluid-dynamics

  • Ideally you have extended experiences in the research & technology sector

  • You are a proactive autonomous and highly motivated person with a great sense of initiative and the ability to manage confidential topics

  • You show strong communication interpersonal and networking skills

  • Your English is at negotiating level whereas additional language skills in French/German/Spanish are considered a plus
