Job Summary

- Position Summary
- Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Geology Department.
- Start Date
- Positionavailable on or after September 22 2025 and ending on or before May 15 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget department needs and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
  - Safely transport students from the University to various field trip destinations.
  - Safely operate rental vehicles occupied by students according to the State & University policies & regulations.
  - Assist in completing required travel requests and obtain required authorization prior to trip in a timely manner.
  - Assist in routine vehicle checks which will include but are not limited to checking tires gauges fuel etc.
  - Assist in reporting any noted problems with the vehicle to the rental company.
  - Assist in responsibility of accident reporting procedures.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
  - Defensive driving certificate (certification can be obtained once hired).
  Required Qualifications:
  - Must be at least 21 years of age.
  - Must possess a CA driver license with good driving record.
  - Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
  - Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Salary Range
- $18.00 per hour.
