Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and draft comprehensive estate and tax planning documents including wills trusts powers of attorney advance health care directives and relevant business agreements.
  • Administer trusts and estates manage probate processes and oversee asset distribution.
  • Provide tax planning and compliance guidance related to trusts and estates.
  • Advise clients on charitable giving business succession planning and asset protection strategies.
  • Represent clients in probate court and related legal proceedings as needed.
  • Stay current with estate and tax law developments to deliver forward-thinking legal advice.
  • Build strong trust-based relationships with clients through clear communication and tailored service.
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys accountants financial advisors and other professionals to deliver holistic solutions.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
  • 5 10 years of experience in trust and estate law.
  • Background in accounting and/or tax (education or professional experience) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning probate and trust administration.
  • Exceptional analytical drafting and negotiation skills.
  • High level of professionalism ethics and discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
