Job Summary

Enterprise Cloud Architect (Level 4)

Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Hybrid Owings Mills Building 3
Onsite Requirement: 2 days per week (Tues Thurs preferred for collaboration)

Team & Environment

Small team of 6 7 senior architects each covering different domains (distribution marketing retirement plan services developer experience etc.)
Candidate will primarily support business-driven cloud and integration initiatives.
Collaborates with 200 stakeholders across business and technology groups.
Team operates at the intersection of business and technology-translating business needs into scalable cloud and integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and support cloud and integration solutions for new business initiatives.
Translate business requirements into technical architectures (AWS integrations).
Focus areas: AWS solutions and integration with CRM marketing platforms Snowflake Adobe and other vendor platforms.
Create solution designs and blueprints for delivery teams (no direct hands-on coding required).
Build POCs for approach validation when needed.
Produce clear documentation with templates and diagrams for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Requirements

AWS Expertise: Broad knowledge across compute communications and databases.
- Key services: ECS Lambda SQS SNS integration tools.
Integration Architecture: Strong experience in real-time streaming batch and API integration patterns.
External Tools/Systems: Familiarity working with Snowflake Adobe and additional vendor platforms.
Hands-on coding not required but strong architectural reasoning is critical.

Preferred Background & Skills

Experience: 10 years overall (preferably 12 15).
- 8 10 years engineering 4 5 years architecture.
Industry Knowledge: Finance industry experience strongly preferred.
Emerging Technologies: Exposure to AI/GenAI concepts (e.g. RAG MCP identity management workflows).
Soft Skills:
- Strong communicator who can convey technical and business concepts effectively.
- Adept at documentation and solution design for multiple stakeholder groups.
- High awareness of compliance and security requirements.
- Flexible and eager to learn evolving technologies.
