Skills and Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience with minimum 6 years in product management product ownership or a related field.
- Strong understanding of agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum Kanban).
- Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to define and prioritize product requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with Specific tools e.g. Jira Confluence etc. is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Relevant field e.g. Computer Science Business Administration or equivalent experience.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is a plus.
About Role
The Product Owner is a key leader responsible for defining prioritizing and managing the product backlog to ensure the product vision aligns with business strategy and delivers maximum value to customers. The Product Owner acts as the voice of the customer and collaborates closely with stakeholders the development team and other relevant parties to ensure a successful product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Product Vision and Strategy:
Understand and champion the product vision strategy and roadmap.
Conduct market research analyze customer needs and identify opportunities for product growth.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define product priorities and align them with overall business objectives.
Product Backlog Management:
Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog ensuring it is transparent visible and understood by the development team.
Define user stories acceptance criteria and other backlog items in sufficient detail for development.
Refine and groom the product backlog regularly ensuring it is up-to-date and reflects changing priorities.
Sprint Planning and Execution:
Participate in sprint planning meetings providing clarification and guidance to the development team on backlog items.
Collaborate with the development team to estimate effort and plan sprints effectively.
Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of the sprint goals and acceptance criteria.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate product vision strategy and progress to stakeholders regularly.
Gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate it into the product backlog as appropriate.
Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Product Acceptance and Release:
Review and accept completed user stories ensuring they meet the defined acceptance criteria.
Plan and coordinate product releases working closely with the development team and other relevant parties.
Monitor product performance and gather feedback after release to identify areas for improvement.
