Job Description

Job Title: QC Inspector
Client: Aerospace Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: San Diego CA 92121
Shift: 1st Shift (5:30 AM 2:00 PM)

Position Overview

The QC Inspector II will perform in-process and final inspections on machined parts components hardware and assemblies to ensure compliance with customer requirements regulatory guidelines (AS9100 Military Standards ASTM ANSI ASME Codes) and company quality standards. This role requires strong inspection expertise blueprint reading skills and proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections on materials detail components hardware and assemblies.
  • Verify compliance to AS9100 QMS standards military specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints diagrams inspection instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Operate and adjust precision measuring instruments (dial indicators micrometers scales gauges jigs fixtures etc.).
  • Inspect and test new and reworked tools dies gauges jigs and fixtures for conformance.
  • Record document and manage non-conforming material reports as per established procedures.
  • Generate accurate and timely inspection documentation and dimensional data reports.
  • Maintain focus on accuracy attention to detail and quality results.
  • Work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company values (Three Circles philosophy).

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience: 2 years of aerospace quality inspection experience (required).
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing practices inspection techniques and regulatory standards.
  • FAA-compliant English communication skills (read write understand).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and inspection reporting systems.
  • Ability to retrieve track and move jobs efficiently through workstations.
  • Must meet visual acuity standards for inspection tasks.
