Functioning within the goals of the Lima Memorial Health System the LPN performs clinical duties related to day-to-day operations of the physician s office. LPN responsibilities include administering medications assisting with special procedures instructing patients and families and reviewing and maintaining patient charts.
Requirement description :
- 2 years of LPN Experience in a Hospital Setting - Required
- Neuro Experience - Required
- OH LPN License - Required
- BLS (AHA) - Required
In addition to standard LPN functions this position involves assisting a physician with diagnostic tests that measure nerve and muscle function.
- Patient care: Prepare patients for EMG and nerve conduction velocity (NCV) studies explaining the procedure and addressing patient concerns.
- Technical support: Calibrate and operate complex EMG equipment place electrodes and record electrical nerve and muscle activity.
- Physician assistance: Provide technical and clinical support to the supervising physician during the examination.
- Data management: Document test results and patient data accurately to support the physicians analysis and diagnosis.
- Clerical duties: Handle scheduling and administrative tasks related to the electrodiagnostic department.
