Salary: $70k-$88k annually DOE
Were currently seeking a Field Engineer to support project execution from the ground up on-site in Granby Colorado. If youre ready to get hands-on solve real-time challenges and grow your career in the water-focused heavy civil industry this is your opportunity to own your work and your future.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Read and interpret project plans specifications and technical drawings.
- Perform quantity takeoffs to forecast material needs.
- Track and inventory materials delivered to job sites.
- Assist with layout and site setup for equipment and infrastructure installation.
- Work with the Superintendent to develop safe and efficient installation strategies.
- Enter and maintain daily logs including weather conditions progress photos and equipment reports.
- Track weather delays and report time and material changes or field orders.
- Support jobsite safety by performing inspections and enforcing corrections.
- Conduct safety inspections of tools equipment and scaffolding.
- Lead or assist in weekly toolbox talksincluding documentation and sign-offs with subcontractors.
- Compile submittals and documentation to support proper installation by crews and subs.
- Prepare and finalize redlined as-built drawings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent.
- Effectively communicate with field teams superintendents project managers and subcontractors.
- Report directly to the Project Superintendent while supporting other field and office personnel.
- Document and share critical field data to support schedule safety and performance tracking.
What You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Understanding of surveying site layout and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skillscomfortable working with field crews project managers and stakeholders.
- A proactive mindsetable to adapt quickly ask the right questions and solve problems in the moment.
- Bonus if you have experience on water or wastewater infrastructure projects!
