Peace Hospital part of UofL Health is a private non-profit behavioral health hospital. One of the largest behavioral health facilities in the nation Peace Hospital is known for providing care for children adolescents adults and senior adults age 55 and older. Our Kosair for Kids Childrens Peace Center is the largest and most comprehensive private provider of youth inpatient behavioral health services in the country treating children and adolescents with behavioral health and co-occurring disorders. We have a partial hospitalization program for school-aged children and an inpatient specialty program for children and adolescents who have complex treatment needs such as intellectual or developmental disabilities accompanied by acute behavioral and psychiatric symptoms. Provides leadership in facilitating organizing and coordinating the functions of Inpatient or Outpatient Social Services. Involved in the direct provision of clinical/counseling behavioral health and/or substance use services to children adolescents adults geriatric patients and families. Services include group therapy family therapy individual therapy psychoeducation discharge planning and coordinating with community government and/or other behavioral health agencies for aftercare services. The position is also responsible for training orientation and education of clinicians and staff on proper department policies and procedures and excellent customer service. To support effective management in collaboration with the manager and director.
Essential Functions:
- Trains and educates Clinicians/Team Members on proper department procedures and excellent customer service
- Assists manager and director by contributing information towards team member evaluations program development and ongoing preparedness for chart audits
- Adhere to respective Board mandated professional development and CEU requirements needed to maintain active certification or licensure
- Display proficiency in facilitating program treatment milieu to individuals groups and families served by the program
Demonstrate proficiency in clinical documentation to include development of care plan goals objectives and intervention strategies
Assists with screening and assessment of patients to support care and discharge plans
Monitors compliance with timely documentation and communication of information needed to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary treatment teams

Other Functions:
- Participates in clinical meetings as designated by either the Manager or Director
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient to include pediatric adolescent adult and geriatric
- Maintains compliance with all company policies procedures and standards of conduct
- Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned
Additional Job Description:
Education:
- Masters degree in behavioral health or human services related field (required)
Experience:
- A minimum of three (3) years counseling/clinical experience providing substance use mental health or co-occurring treatment services in a behavioral health or related human services setting (required)
Licensure:
- Licensure and Certifications Current certification as a Clinical Social Worker (CSW) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC) in the state of KY required within 45 days of hire (required)
- Current independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the state of Kentucky required within 45 days of hire (preferred)
Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training and perform CPI techniques (required)
