Job Description

Do you know how it feels to be truly invaluable Our Field Service Engineers do!

As a Field Service Engineer Mechatronics at JBT Marel your primary responsibility is to install maintain and optimize our Atlas live bird handling systems at our customers sites. These highly mechatronic systems combine mechanics pneumatics hydraulics electrical engineering and controls making your role a unique blend of hands-on technical work and customer interaction.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Prepare and execute installation projects of Atlas systems.
  • Conduct service and maintenance visits to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical electrical and controls-related issues on-site.
  • Lead and coordinate local employees in larger installation projects.
  • Keep in touch with and report progress to the customer.
  • Train operators and maintenance staff in the use of our systems and provide structured feedback to R&D and colleagues.

You will be part of a team of experienced engineers who share knowledge and support each other both on customer sites and from the office.

Since this is a global role you will travel internationally (5060% of your time). We plan projects carefully so you can also enjoy time at home with friends and familytaking into account your holidays important events and personal plans.

To become a true specialist on Atlas we also schedule time for:

  • Preparing your upcoming projects and reporting on completed ones.
  • Personal and technical training both in the office and in the field.
  • Regular alignment with your manager and the engineering team.

What kind of person are you

You are passionate about mechatronics and enjoy solving complex technical challenges. You thrive in an international environment are flexible resilient and have a true service attitude. You like to work hands-on have an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.

To be successful as a Field Service Engineer Mechatronics you also:

  • Have a degree in Mechatronics Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Have solid knowledge of mechanics with strong affinity for electrical systems pneumatics hydraulics and controls.
  • Experience in service/maintenance of complex machinery is an advantage.
  • Have strong interest in process engineering and/or food production.
  • Have good command of the English language (both written and spoken).
  • Must have relevant EU travel and work documents.
  • Are willing to travel internationally (5060%).
