Job Summary:
The Sr. Business Systems Analyst II provides expert level technical business analysis and project management to the department teams and customers regarding business solutions including business needs requirements options risks and limitations. The Sr. Business Systems Analyst II is also responsible for service ownership of multiple services.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Planning and Analysis: Leads the planning analysis evaluation selection design implementation and maintenance of business solutions and products to meet the business needs including integrating new solutions into existing systems. Develops and documents business processes and requirements including logical data models and process maps and technical documentation on business applications. Performs reporting and data analysis as necessary. Performs security assessment and risk analysis for new and existing IT services. Provides consultation to and partners with stakeholders sponsors IT and management for new and existing solutions.
- Project Management: Creates project plans. Accountable for scope deliverables and milestones. Manages project risk associated with team and vendor deliverables and milestones. Establishes timelines and effective progress measures that include vendor and staff workload and productivity. Communicates status risk and mitigation strategies and manages project approval gates.
- Service Ownership: Performs Service Owner duties including handling Tier 2 and Tier 3 requests creating and maintaining procedure and training documentation and periodic reviews of services to address problems and opportunities for improvement. Responsible for recommendations to management on the future evolution/roadmap of assigned services.
- Leadership: Provides advice and consultation to business owners and team members for new and existing business solutions requiring business analysis or database support. Provides mentoring training and support to Casey staff and TS coworkers on business applications.
- Supportive Teamwork: Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of experience in business/systems analysis roles. Proficient at understanding business needs and translating into requirements facilitating decision making in large/multi-level groups about how technology should be configure/used to meet objectives working with complex configurations and solutions and communicating effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated technical skills in the majority of the following: system design/analysis project management implementation integration support reporting and data analysis. Additional requirements include strong logic and process mapping skills.
- Experience performing business analysis with web-based applications including SaaS applications. Experience with reporting and data analysis is required.
- Demonstrated project management and business analysis experience leading and facilitating cross functional initiatives and partnering with senior management in a variety of functional areas.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate fluid work environments where roles and responsibilities are continually changing and may at times be ambiguous. Ability to adjust to and master working with employees with differing perspectives and personalities. Strong communication and diplomacy skills and the ability to write and speak clearly on technical subjects to a variety of audiences in the organization (including technical and non-technical) are essential.
- Demonstrated solid leadership and collaboration skills and the ability to partner with and coach other professionals including Technology Services colleagues in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated success with creating and delivering technical training content to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated strength and experience in one or more of these areas is highly desirable: human-centered design design thinking user experience change management (as it relates to people process and technology).
- Ability to contribute to continuous quality improvement by identifying and recommending improvements to the services and support provided by the individual team and department.
- Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data text and figures; ability to type utilizing a computer keyboard; ability to travel to outside locations; and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function.
The typical hiring range for this position in Seattle WA is $106250 to $125000. The full salary range for the role is $106250 to $143750. Casey Family Programs offers comprehensive benefits including medical dental and vision coverage accrual of 12 days of annual leave 12 days of sick leave10 paid holidays per year and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous full-time regular employment employees in good standing are permitted for a three-month sabbatical with pay.
