Position Summary:
We are seeking an experiencedCNC Machine Operatorto join our team in Pryor OK. TheCNC Machine Operatorwill be responsible for producing machined parts byprogrammingsetting up andoperating computer numerical control machines. This role requires reviewing setup sheets and specifications to determine setup procedures machining sequences and dimensions to meet precise production requirements.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Write programsin the language of the machines controller and store programs on appropriate media.
- Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the correct cutting tools.
- Revise programs to eliminate errors and retest to ensure correct output.
- Analyzejob orders drawings blueprints and specifications to calculate dimensions tooling machine speeds and feed rates.
- Create instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and machine operation.
- Conduct trial runs or simulations to ensure machinery produces items meeting specifications.
- Modify existing programs to improve efficiency.
- Set up and operateCNC machinesto cut shape or form metal workpieces to specification.
- Attach fixtures position tool holders and insert cutting tools according to setup instructions.
- Monitor operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make adjustments as needed.
- Performpreventative maintenanceor minor repairs on machines.
- Inspect finished parts usingprecision measuring toolsto ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist with training of new operators.
- Maintain accurate production records using the Job Tracker Program.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years ofCNC experiencepreferred.
- Ability to independently set up and operate CNC machines.
- Skilled in usingprecision measuring toolsand performing quality checks.
- Strong ability to read and interpretblueprintsand part programs.
- Computer literacy including spreadsheets word processing email and database software.
- Proficiency with machine tools and precision measuring devices.
- Strongmath skills including whole numbers fractions and decimals.
Required Skills:
- Attention to detail thorough and accurate in completing tasks.
- Analytical thinking logical approach to problem-solving.
- Mechanical knowledge understanding machine designs usage repair and maintenance.
- Strong reading comprehension for technical documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift50 lbs.as needed.
- Ability tostand kneel stoop crouch and crawlfor extended periods.
- Comfortable working in anon-climate-controlled environment.
