We announce the following SPECIAL EDUCATION vacancy in the Rochester Community Schools for the 2025-26 school year. Applications will be accepted until filled.
EARLY ON LEAD SERVICEPROVIDER
1.0F.T.E.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Speech and language pathologist
- Three years of successful special education experience preferred.
- Ability to work in the natural environment educating and coaching parents.
- Ability to maintain documentation as well as complete all Early On and Special Education paperwork within the mandated timelines.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
SALARY:
Per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Interested and qualified applicants must complete an online application through the Rochester Community Schools website:
A letter of interest outlining your current assignments and a copy of your Michigan Teaching Certificate should be included.
If you are not a current Rochester Community Schools employee you must complete the entire application process.
SELECTION PROCESS:
Selection of an individual to fill this vacancy is determined by the appropriate administrators based upon experience qualifications and professional attributes.
TITLE: EARLY ON LEAD SERVICE PROVIDER
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Special Education
JOB GOAL:
To provide Early On and Special Education services to infants and toddlers (ages birth to 3 years) that fosters global development utilizing a caregiver coaching model.
PERFORMANCE Responsibilities:
- Understands and communicates principals of infant and child development.
- Coaches caregivers on strategies and techniques that foster growth throughout a childs daily routine.
- Uses a variety of communication systems to share knowledge (written verbal video etc.)
- Completes Early On and Special Education evaluations as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Understands and completes Early On Part C Special Education and Special Education Part B mandates procedures and paperwork.
- Keeps detailed case notes and attendance logs.
- Provides services in the natural environment (home daycare other setting within the school district).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Works a balanced 12-month calendar.
