NTU is leveraging AI and learning analytics to enhance teaching and learning as part of our Education Strategy. The Deputy Director (AI and Learning Analytics) is one of the key leaders under InsPIRE who would drive initiatives formulate strategies and build relationships so that NTU is well known for the effective and responsible use of AI and learning analytics for education around the world.
Job Responsibilities:
The position would work with the Executive director InsPIRE and other centre directors of InsPIRE to plan and drive initiatives/projects around meaningful use of AI and learning analytics for students faculty and schools.
Build a team of pedagogical data AI and research professionals to pilot and evaluate the use of AI for teaching and learning and to productionise university-wide effective ones.
Collaborate with faculty within and beyond NTU and would publish translational research in the use of AI for Education so as to establish NTU as one of the great technological universities in Asia and the world in the age of AI.
Must have Qualifications:
PhD in Education Computer Science Data Science and related fields.
At least fifteen years of experience in driving education initiatives and strategies at an institute of higher learning.
Strong working knowledge around pedagogy data science software design machine learning AI cybersecurity data and AI governance framework
Excellent ability in strategic thinking and
Excellent ability to communicate and persuade in writing and in viva
Excellent ability in networking
Enterprising and able to mobilise people within and outside of the university
Good to Haves:
Technical skills such as SQL and python
Technical knowledge such as but not limited to database management system architecture software design principles and security best practices
