Job Description

Compliance Manager

ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES RACS is currently seeking a motivated qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bath County and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training supervision and education opportunities specific to the position.

Position Overview:

Ensures the organizations adherence to all applicable laws regulations and policies. Essential functions of the position include but are not limited to establishing compliance with the DBHDS Performance Contract DBHDS Licensing Regulations DBHDS Human Rights Regulations HIPAA 42 CFR Part 2 insurance payor requirements and the Code of Virginia. This position promotes quality improvement by developing the Continuous Quality Improvement Plan and oversees risk management activities to identify and address risks to the agency its staff clients and assets. The position also ensures the agencys workforce is adequately informed and trained through comprehensive training real-time consultation and written resources covering topics such as patient privacy human rights incident reporting emergency preparedness business ethics and the prevention of fraud waste and abuse.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least a bachelors degree in a healthcare social service public administration or business administration field of study.
  • 3-7 years of experience managing the compliance activities of a healthcare social service government or non-profit organization.
  • Must possess supervisory experience.
  • Must possess or obtain a compliance certification (CHC CCEP CFE CHPC or equivalent) within 18 months of assuming the position.

Probationary Period: All persons that are newly hired rehired transferred promoted or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.
