Position Summary:
The Patient Access Registrar welcomes and assists patients and families at check-in ensuring a positive experience. Responsibilities include collecting and verifying demographics insurance details and required signatures as well as explaining patient liabilities and obtaining necessary authorizations. This role supports timely service delivery and may involve guiding or escorting patients and visitors within the facility. All interactions should reflect empathy accuracy and respect for patient confidentiality.
What you will do:
Greet and register patients upon arrival.
Confirm insurance benefits and patient details.
Collect co-pays signatures and necessary documentation.
Provide support and directions to patients and visitors.
What you will need:
High school diploma required; associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
At least one year of experience in healthcare or customer service preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
