Position Summary

The Data Entry Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for but not limited to accurately inputting prescription information maintaining meticulous records and ensuring strict compliance with pharmacy regulations. This role is crucial for facilitating efficient medication management and ensuring the highest standards of safety in a compounding pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately enter prescription and medication data into the pharmacy system with specific attention to LifeFile.
• Process payments for prescriptions and other services.
• Manage patient refills and medication orders.
• Calculate and verify correct dosages based on prescription details.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other team members to ensure data accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in inventory management and tracking medication supplies.
• Ensure all data entry processes comply with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician certification.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a pharmacy data entry or operations role.

• At least one year of experience using pharmacy software and data management systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be punctual and adaptable to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

• Experience in a compounding pharmacy operations setting.

• Proficiency with the LifeFile pharmacy system.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer

• Ability to communicate effectively in person over the phone or via virtual meeting

• Ability to maintain focus in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels

• Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms such as typing.
