Join Humane Colorados dedicated veterinary team in North Denver where your surgical skills directly impact the health and well-being of pets and families who need it this mission-driven role youll perform high-quality high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and catsreducing suffering preventing overpopulation and promoting healthier communities.
Youll also contribute through brief wellness exams vaccinations and digital medical recordkeeping while occasionally supporting urgent care and shelter medicine services. As a veterinary ambassador youll play a key role in advancing socially conscious animal care and expanding access to essential services for underserved populations.
Purpose of Position: This position primarily supports the Community Veterinary Services department with performing HQHVSN for owned cats and dogs. Based at the Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur many of our surgeries are performed on-view for visitors of the CSU Spur campus. CSU Spur programming is targeted at K-12 students with the mission to inspire STEM careers and future veterinary professionals.

Compensation: $52.88 - $60.00 per hour (starting pay commensurate with market experience and equity). Veterinarians in a relief employment status also receive a shift differential of $20.00 per hour.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
The Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur provides an on-view experience for visitors to the CSU Spur campus. Staff joining the Community Veterinary Solutions team should expect that they will occasionally or regularly depending on their work assignment be working in an exam room surgical suite or dentistry suite that is on-view through windows to a public audience.
Handle and restrain animals of various sizes weights and temperaments. Subject to animal bites or scratches. Work performed in high noise level areas. Exposure to cleaning chemicals fumes dust animal dander urine and feces. Exposure to radiation in association with performing radiology procedures. Physical efforts require constant bending stooping standing climbing stairs and walking. Repetitive motion associated with medical and surgical care provision for patients. Frequent lifting of animals and objects with reasonable accommodation.
