What we do
The SafeSquid Tech Support Team helps the family of SafeSquid users to efficiently use SafeSquid on Linux and Windows.
IT Managers & Network Administrators from around the world of various small and Large networks take help from this team to deploy SafeSquid trouble-shoot problems and create efficient policies to make best use of the various features of the software built by the SafeSquid development team. The SafeSquid Tech Support team also assists in deploying and managing various third party software on both Linux and Windows hosts.
Work Profile
The daily routine of people in the SafeSquid Tech Support Team is quite different from a typical faceless tech support department. Though travelling to customer premises is a very rare event staying in touch with the customers and maintaining a healthy working relationship is a permanent activity. Experimenting discovering learning teaching helping is same as working for this team.
Technical Expertise of SafeSquid Tech Support Team
1. Linux O/S - Understanding of the FileSystems experience with RPM & APT package management systems. Hacking around the various configuration files of popular third-party applications such as PAM DHCP Apache Bind SSHD Samba Monit Sawmill Calamaris GNUplot etc. Experiences in shell scripting ....
2. Microsoft Windows O/S - Understanding of the Microsoft Server and Workstation operating systems. Experiences with Microsoft DHCP DNS Networking AD services etc.
3. Other O/S - SafeSquid is slated for release on other operating Systems too so tell us about your expertise in one more of them and how the team would benefit from it.
4. Application Trouble-Shooting - IP firewall and routing DNS DHCP issues. System Monitoring.
5. Debugging and HTTP application utilities - ngrep tcpdump proxy servers.
Minimum Required Profile
If you have good written and verbal communication skills and enjoy trouble-shooting identifying the source of the problems and fix them you should well be a part of the SafeSquid Tech Support Team.
The SafeSquid Tech Support Team inducts committed young greshers who are passionate about IT as assistant technicians.
