Job Description:
A purchase executivesources negotiates with and selects suppliers to procure goods and services ensuring quality cost-effectiveness and timely delivery to meet organizational needs.Key responsibilities include managing purchase orders maintaining strong supplier relationships conducting market analysis collaborating with internal teams optimizing inventory and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
    • Supplier Management:Identifying evaluating and selecting reliable suppliers based on criteria like quality cost and service.
  • Negotiation:Negotiating favorable terms prices and contracts with vendors.
  • Procurement & Ordering:Creating processing and managing purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Market Analysis:Researching market trends pricing and supply chain risks to inform purchasing strategies.
  • Inventory Management:Monitoring and managing inventory levels to optimize costs and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:Working with finance operations and other departments to understand their procurement needs.
  • Quality Assurance:Establishing quality standards for goods and services and ensuring purchased items meet these standards.
  • Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of purchases supplier information invoices and order status.
  • Performance Monitoring:Evaluating supplier performance and resolving any issues or disputes.
  • Compliance:Ensuring that procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education:A bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field is often required.
  • Experience:Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
  • Negotiation Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze market conditions pricing trends and total cost of ownership.
  • Organizational Skills:Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Software Proficiency:Familiarity with procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP is often beneficial.
  • Industry Knowledge:Knowledge of supply chain processes best practices and industry-specific regulations.
