ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: A Quality Auditor is responsible for Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as required. - Complete all necessary documentation including tags and labels per the TS 164949 within expected or given time periods.
- Perform First Piece Inspection and Last Piece Inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.
- Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements
- Assist in sort operations as needed
- Immediately report all discrepancies to Quality Supervisor Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager
- Informally monitor quality system to cell/areas concerning labels documentation lot numbers first piece samples for procedural adherence.
- Performs all other duties as requested by the Quality Supervisor Quality Engineer and/or Quality Manager.
- Communicate production and quality issues/concerns with associates and supervision whenever necessary including shift crossover.
- Participate in team problem solving activities (i.e.:8Ds communication meetings etc.).
- Responsible for following internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e.: Quality Manuel Associate Handbook etc.).
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
- Knowledge of critical areas/features on product and ability to use quality tools to validate production requirements (i.e. Calipers gages check fixtures X-Rite Moisture checking McBeth light and Dial indicators etc.) as required
- Vacuum and wipe down exposed areas of machines and equipment during production hours and thoroughly clean same during nonproduction time.
