Job Description
Commissionaires BC is looking for a Security Supervisor to work at a outreach shelter in Vernon. Candidates who are interested or have worked with at-risk and vulnerable individuals would be ideal.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Payrate: $24.00
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Foot patrols of residential building interior and exterior
- Maintaining a safe environment for all handling any crisis situations in a calm and controlled manner
- Offering first class customer service to the client service users and members of the public
- Work with and respect the diverse community of Kelowna supporting and guiding where needed
- Access Control
- Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts
- Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor
- Maintain up-to-date Post Orders and Site Safety Risk and Quality Assurance assessments
- Submit reportstime sheets and staff evaluations as per deadlines
- Assist withtrainingand scheduling of Commissionaires
- Leading through empowerment and monitoring staffmorale discipline and progress
- Ensure team maintainsa professionalstandard ofconductdress and deportment
- Reporting to the site supervisor and operations management for further duties as necessary
Your Must Haves
- Valid BC Security License
- Basic First Aid Certificate (OFA 1 or equivalent)
- Excellent English oral and written skills
- Previous supervisory experience would bean asset
