Overview
*Must be local. Position is hybrid and will require onsite work as well.*
Responsible for supporting various access and performance improvement programs across Memorials Medical Group. Works closely with clinic leadership to build and adjust provider schedules as setup in the Cerner medical record for patient scheduling. Provides administrative assistance with the patient portal to manage patient access requests and assists in troubleshooting specific use cases. Additionally supports clinics through ongoing tracking/monitoring/distributing key performance data across the Medical Group. Supports the overall mission and strategic direction of Memorial Health. Ensures the vision values and strategic plan are cascaded throughout the organization to achieve desired business outcomes.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associates degree in Health Services Business Administration or related field required.
- Bachelors degree in Health Services Business Administration or related field
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
- Must possess a valid Illinois drivers license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy (five-year MVR will be required).
Experience:
- Minimum of two years relevant healthcare experience.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding analytical and organizational skills required.
- Strong conceptual analytical communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to manage complex processes with great attention to detail.
- Uses critical thinking skills in assessing long-term effects of potential change implementations.
- Comfort in conveying new improvement to ideas to leadership.
- High degree of organizational skills including effective time management skills to set/reset priorities accordingly.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both patients and leaders.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with clinic leadership to build and adjust provider schedules in the Cerner EMR across the entire Medical Group primary & specialty care.
- Maintains working knowledge of Cerner schedule functionality to manage tasks associated with schedule template change requests. Tracks/manages/monitors all ticket requests associated with template/schedule change requests. Ensures timely completion of requests as not to impede day-to-day operations.
- Comfortable interacting with leadership in making suggestions for potential enhancements/changes that may improve operational efficiency processes and/or patient experience as related to template builds.
- Provides administrative assistance with the Follow-My-Health (FMH) patient portal to manage patient access requests and assists in troubleshooting specific use cases.
- Maintains administrative working knowledge of FMH admin portal to help educate leaders on process manage/approve patient access requests and engage with patients directly to help troubleshoot and address specific use cases.
- Assists leadership in running and distributing actionable reports for quality and operations improvement.
- Identifies obtains and ensures the proper utilization of resources associated with measuring and benchmarking data associated with improvement initiatives. Coordinates medical review clinical record audits and quality indicator results. Collates data identifies trends/variations summarizes and reports results.
- Maintains strict confidentiality concerning all correspondence and job-related activities.
- Maintains professional growth and development through continuing education seminars workshops and professional affiliations.
- Travel to different clinic sites as needed for on-site education training rollouts for new initiatives etc.
- Perform other related work as required or requested.
