Job Summary
Support daily operations and product development activities
Perform process definition (PD) audits file PDs and consult with specialists and engineers on updates as needed
Support troubleshooting efforts by participating in root cause analysis exercises assisting in trials measuring samples and analyzing data
Participate in continuous improvement projects pertaining to safety scrap reduction and increased productivity
Support project development by brainstorming ideas creating drawings obtaining quotes from machine shops and testing prototypes
Work with product development on design reviews by cross-referencing dimensions collecting and analyzing data and providing feedback on process improvements
Help implement new quality tests including designing fixtures gauges and completing Gauge R&Rs
Support training efforts by creating Job Breakdowns and One Point Lessons for manufacturing associates
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills
Time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Industrial or Chemical Engineering
Experience with statistical analysis and data collection
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma etc.)
Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD SolidWorks etc.)
Previous internship or co-op experience in manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies
