Job Summary
Breakfast & After School Club Assistant Ryton
Location: Ryton
Hours: Split shifts Breakfast Club (7:30am9:00am) & After School Club (3:00pm6:00pm)
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
The Role:
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Breakfast and After School Club Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Ryton. You will play a key role in providing a safe fun and engaging environment for children before and after the school day.
Duties will include:
Supervising and engaging children in play and structured activities
Preparing light breakfasts/snacks and ensuring healthy choices
Promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding at all times
Supporting childrens social and emotional well-being
Helping with set-up and tidy-down of activities and resources
Requirements:
A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or above) is essential
Previous experience working with children in a school nursery or play setting
Strong communication and team-working skills
A caring patient and proactive approach
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply)
