ACES is seeking an S-Series Specifications Support Expert to assist the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Product Support (DASD(PS)). Onsite work requires Active DoD Secret Clearance on a 5-year contract in the Pentagon Arlington VA. QUALIFICATIONS
- Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Education/Experience: Bachelors degree required (engineering preferred). More than 10 years of relevant experience with S-Series specifications integrated logistics support and sustainment planning. A PhD may substitute for 2 years of experience.
- Technical: Expert knowledge of S-Series suite (SX000i S1000D S2000M S3000L S4000P S5000F S6000T); legacy MIL-STDs; logistics and sustainment strategies; NATO/ISO/DIG coordination; and data modeling with DMEWG.
- Soft Skills: Self-starter who proactively identifies needs and adds value without being prompted. Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up skills. Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and emerging requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the DASD(PS) lead advisor on S-Series specification adoption implementation strategies and sustainment impacts across DoD.
- Conduct independent assessments of military standards specifications and sustainment enterprise practices. Provide actionable courses of action aligned with best practices and DoD strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities and risks associated with adopting S-Series specifications ensuring affordability interoperability and digital thread integration.
- Develop policy and legislative recommendations to support S-Series adoption and harmonization within DoD and across industry partners.
- Collaborate with international partners NATO ISO and the Defense Interest Group (DIG) to align S-Series specifications with U.S. DoD needs.
- Participate in AIA/ASD Integrated Product Support (IPS) Council governance activities representing U.S. DoD priorities in the development of specifications.
- Engage with the Data Management Exchange Working Group (DMEWG) to shape the Common Data Architecture and Core Data Model ensuring DoD requirements are reflected.
- Assist in separating normative and informative (guidance) language within S-Series specifications to make them contractually enforceable.
- Support the development of business rules and contract language that enable effective implementation of each S-Series specification.
- Prepare and deliver congressional report inputs responses to inquiries and correspondence for senior DoD leaders on S-Series-related matters.
- Produce high-quality reports briefings memoranda information papers talking points and strategic communications to inform leadership and the life-cycle logistics community.
- Represent DASD(PS) in meetings workshops and engagements with Military Services Components and industry to advance S-Series understanding and adoption.
- Conduct outreach engagement and education activities with stakeholders to increase awareness and alignment on S-Series benefits.
- Track assess and report on the maturation of S-Series standards including progress with AIA/ASD DMEWG NATO ISO and DIG forums.
