Column Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled disciplined and self-driven Senior Cloud Systems Engineer with a passion for leveraging cloud technologies to address real-world business challenges. This role is based in Chicago and offers the opportunity to lead innovative cloud initiatives for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor junior cloud engineers and architects in defining AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code tools
- Guide teams in employing Configuration Management and Continuous Deployment tools to deliver applications across both stateless and stateful infrastructure
- Manage the migration of bare metal and VM-hosted applications to containerized and serverless platforms
- Transition non-scalable and non-high-availability systems to resilient scalable architecturesspanning web apps databases and storage solutions
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years as a software engineer specializing in cloud system architecture and implementation
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Security
- Hands-on experience with AWS Azure and Google Cloud Platform environments
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Skilled in traditional VMs containers and serverless architectures using AWS services including ECS EKS Lambda (Python runtime) and AWX
- Solid knowledge of provisioning and configuration management using Ansible
- Experience with CI/CD tools including CodeBuild CodePipeline and Jenkins
