IT Network Engineer

Position: IT Network Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide first-level support for network-related incidents and service requests. Perform basic troubleshooting and support for network hardware including switches routers and access points from various vendors.
• Continuously monitor network health performance and security using industry-standard monitoring tools. Respond promptly to alerts and take corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with the setup configuration and maintenance of wireless networks. Troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure stable and secure wireless access.
• Review system and network logs to diagnose and resolve issues. Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence of incidents.
• Support routine network-related tasks on Windows and Linux platforms such as DNS DHCP and basic connectivity troubleshooting.
• Follow established security policies and procedures. Assist in applying access controls and other compliance-related tasks under guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents configurations changes and troubleshooting processes. Help keep network diagrams and technical documentation up to date.
• Work collaboratively with network engineers IT staff and security teams to resolve issues and maintain operational stability in a 24/7 environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Native or fluent in English (C1 level) with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
• 13 years of experience in IT support network operations or a similar technical support role.
• Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with common network hardware (e.g. switches routers firewalls).
• Basic knowledge of wireless networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols (TCP/IP DNS DHCP VPN).
• Ability to interpret logs and use diagnostic tools to resolve issues.
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux networking environments.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring platforms such as PRTG Zabbix or Grafana.
• Experience with additional tools (e.g. Wireshark Nagios) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and in rotational shifts including nights and weekends.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA CompTIA Network or similar.
• Exposure to cloud or virtualized networking environments.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (Python Bash PowerShell).
