About the Role

This role will be a critical member of the Professional Services team helping our enterprise customers integrate Mixpanel into complex technical architectures. Mixpanel takes a consultative approach to selling - and you will look holistically at customer problems and find optimal ways to help customers make better and more efficient decisions.

You will be the technical expert responsible for ensuring that customer data flows into Mixpanel accurately and efficiently enabling them to unlock the full value of our platform. This role will work closely with customers to understand their data infrastructure design scalable data solutions and provide hands-on technical guidance. Internally you will partner with the Go-to-Market team (Sales Solution Engineering and Customer Success) to support technical implementations and with our Product and Engineering teams to share field insights that will shape our product strategy.

Responsibilities

Your primary objectives will be to act as a trusted advisor to customers and help them achieve their business outcomes while ensuring the success of Mixpanel as measured by your impact to ARR and Services Revenue.

1. Collaborate with customer data teams to understand their data architecture and ensure seamless integration with their existing systems and customer data platforms. Act as the primary technical advisor for customers guiding them through custom integration and implementation requirements.
2. Design build and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines to ingest data from various customer sources into Mixpanel. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data ingestion APIs and SDKs.
3. Develop and implement data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data sent to Mixpanel.
4. Develop tooling methodologies and collateral to sell & deliver consistently across the enterprise book - building repeatable frameworks to be utilized by Customer Success and partners.
5. Create and maintain technical documentation implementation guides and reusable assets for our customers and internal teams.
6. Work closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales and post-sales process as it relates to Professional Services.

Were Looking For Someone Who Has

• 4 years of hands-on experience in a Forward Deployed Engineering Data Engineering or similar role.
• Strong technical expertise in data architecture ETL/ELT development data warehousing (Snowflake BigQuery etc.) relational databases data normalization and cloud architecture (GCP preferred).
• Proven experience with B2B SaaS companies preferably in a customer-facing capacity.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python Java Javascript Bash SQL etc.
• A deep understanding of customer data platforms and their role within a companys data ecosystem.
• Experience working with various APIs and data sources to build complex data integrations.
• A technically curious mindset with a passion for solving new and challenging problems and a desire to help others succeed.
• Preferred: Hands-on experience in the Digital Analytics or Product Analytics space.
• Preferred: Direct experience with Mixpanels platform and APIs.
