Administration Assistant

Location: Nottingham Woodthorpe Hospital Nottingham

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Full-time

Salary: Depending on experience Benefits


Summary:

The site on which Woodthorpe Hospital now stands has provided healthcare to the people of Nottingham since 1877 and is conveniently located towards the north of Nottingham city centre with excellent on-site parking facilities and access to public transport nearby.

Today we are a modern well-equipped hospital with 41 private bedrooms (all en-suite) andtwo operating theatres. We are constantly developing our services and are proud of our comprehensive range of specialist departments and the high standard of care that they allow us to offer all of our guests.

The role:

Woodthorpe Hospital are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our busy friendly forward thinking Booking Department who are committed to providing a high standard of care to our patients.

Working as a key member of the bookings team your role will include:-

  • Booking & confirming new & follow up appointments
  • Making & receiving telephone calls from patients
  • Use national choose and book referral system
  • Build clinic & theatre lists
  • Seeking prior approval from CCGs
  • Reception duties at busy periods

The success full candidate will be able to demonstrate:-

  • Previous admin experience and computer literate
  • A good general education with GCSE level (or equivalent) qualifications Grades A-C
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in interacting with staff consultants and patients
  • Good IT and administration skills
  • A proven ability to work effectively in a team environment but independently when required
