Job Summary

RN- Inpatient Surgical Unit (Permanent Role)

Location: Gainesville FL 32601

Shift: 12 hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Responsibilities:

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the surgical unit.
Monitor assess and treat postoperative patients based on established clinical protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Educate patients and families about procedures recovery and post-discharge care.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida OR a Compact RN License.
  - If a Compact License is held a Florida RN license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience.
  - Will also consider candidates with Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) RN experience.
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a surgical or inpatient hospital unit.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
