RN- Inpatient Surgical Unit (Permanent Role) Location: Gainesville FL 32601
Shift: 12 hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the surgical unit.
- Monitor assess and treat postoperative patients based on established clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate patients and families about procedures recovery and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida OR a Compact RN License.
- If a Compact License is held a Florida RN license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience.
- Will also consider candidates with Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) RN experience.
- Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
- Preferred:
- Previous experience in a surgical or inpatient hospital unit.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
