Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer with proven expertise in the Security Operations (SecOps) module to lead the design development and implementation of security-centric solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of both out-of-the-box (OOB) and custom SecOps functionalities experience in building custom Service Catalog items and integrating security workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and customization of ServiceNow SecOps modules including Security Incident Response (SIR) Vulnerability Response (VR) and Threat Intelligence (TI).
- Develop and automate Service Catalog items dynamic forms workflows and security-focused automation processes.
- Configure and extend OOB SecOps capabilities and build custom components as needed.
- Collaborate closely with SOC teams security analysts and stakeholders to refine technical requirements.
- Develop client-side and server-side scripts such as Business Rules Script Includes UI Policies Client Scripts and Scheduled Jobs.
- Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations with third-party security tools and platforms like Tenable Qualys Splunk CrowdStrike etc.
- Enforce secure development practices including role-based access control (RBAC) and platform governance.
- Participate in Agile development processes and provide mentorship to junior developers.
- Document technical solutions configurations and changes ensuring knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) including Security Incident Response Vulnerability Response and Threat Intelligence modules.
- Proficient in developing Service Catalog items and automating workflows using Flow Designer and Workflow Editor.
- Deep understanding of JavaScript-based client/server scripting in ServiceNow.
- Experience building and maintaining REST and SOAP integrations with external security tools.
- Skilled in enforcing RBAC creating Access Control Lists (ACLs) and applying secure development practices.
- Familiarity with Scoped Application development update sets and platform lifecycle management.
- Comfortable working in Agile or Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills capable of bridging technical teams and business stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist SecOps.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- Familiarity with threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK STIX/TAXII.
- Understanding of vulnerability and risk scoring standards like CVSS and NVD.
- Experience integrating security tools such as Tenable Qualys Splunk CrowdStrike.
Role Expectations
- Deliver innovative secure scalable applications by selecting optimal technical solutions and applying reusable patterns.
- Translate application designs and specifications into quality code debug test and document features.
- Lead defect root cause analysis (RCA) and mitigation to improve product quality.
- Collaborate with project managers to manage delivery timelines estimates and resource planning.
- Mentor team members set clear goals support upskilling and promote high team engagement.
- Interface with stakeholders to clarify requirements and present design options and product demos.
